Also call offset printing, most common process for plastic card printing based on the concept that oil and water are not compatible. it is a commonly used printing technique where the inked image is transferred (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface.
Artwork request
1) The best way to send artwork is electronically, in PC platform.
2) Please send artwork in .eps or .ai files.
3) Artwork created in Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
4) PhotoShop images must be high resolution (300 dpi minimum).
5) Color images should be converted from RGB to CMYK.
6) The artwork (including logos, graphic art and texts) should be also converted to paths/outlines.
7) Finally, please incorporate about 2.54mm (0.1〃) of overwork for all bleed artwork. Any portion of the artwork that extends to the edge of the card is considered a bleed.
Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface.
Most of the time, we use this method to print unique color of special area on the plastic card to emphasize the image.
To assure the accuracy of the unique color, we use a standardized color matching system, such as the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM.
